Diamond Materials recently worked on the only freestanding medical rehabilitation hospital in Dover, DE which opened in Spring of 2019. The 42,000 square-foot facility's main focus is getting patients back home to a community setting whether it be assisted living or independent living in their own homes and getting them thriving and doing well. Diamond Materials completed the sitework, grading, curb work, paving and stone for the parking lot. Diamond also installed a storm tech system and put in water and sewer utility lines.
Diamond also installed a Pervious Concrete sidewalk for water drainage, which isn't commonly done. A Pervious sidewalk will capture stormwater and allow it to seep into the ground, porous concrete is instrumental in recharging groundwater, reducing stormwater runoff, and meeting U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stormwater regulations.
